RESEARCH INTERESTS & EXPERIENCE

l Research Interests:

 

Nano-optics & Near-field optics, theoretical & simulation research, SPM and SNOM and their applications in life science, near-field spectroscopy and near-field Raman spectroscopy, tip enhanced Raman and fluorescence spectroscopy (TERS and TERFS), near-field optical virtual probe, laser tweezers, single molecule detection & manipulation. 

Nano-photonics active devices, very small aperture laser (VSAL) based on plasmonics, nano-structure and surface plasmon resonance enhancement in nano-structure medium. High density optical data storage based on nano-optics and near-field optics involving solid immersion lens.

Bio-imaging, biomedical optics and photonics.  

l Research Experience:

1995 ~ now     Nano-optics & Near-field optics, optical data storage based on near-field optics, near-field optical microscopy in biological application; observation of single biological molecules with SNOM; very small aperture laser design and fabrication, near-field optical virtual probe. Laser dynamic tracking and coordinate measurement.

1988 ~ 1994    Diameter measurement of large workpieces with laser system;  Flatness, parallelism and perpendicularity measurement of large workpieces; Laser heterodyne interferometry for vibration measurement in microstructure; Laser heterodyne interferometer for measuring surface roughness; Absolute distance measurement with linear frequency modulation laser diode. optical probe for measuring surface microtopography.

1986 ~ 1987    Precision engineering and precision measurement.

1982 ~ 1985   Optical holography and its applications; Vibration measurement of magnetic disk with laser interferometric system
